Two Steps to Secure Your Timing Date!

STEP 1)  Fill out the online timing agreement through the link below.  There is nothing to print or email for the agreement - it is completed on the web.
TIMING AGREEMENT
Within the agreement form, you'll enter which method of timing you'd like to use in addition to providing all of the dates, locations, times that pertain to your event.  You will not be able to complete the timing agreement until you have a location and date secured.
STEP 2) Download the Credit Card Authorization, fill it out completely, then return to 3W Races via email.  This may require printing and scanning or the use of advanced PDF software.

Timing Options/Costs

We have two methods by which to time your event.

$400 non-refundable deposit is collected to hold your timing date, regardless of timing method chosen. 
The deposit funds are, of course, applied to your timing fee balance which is due on your race day.

Events outside a 90 mile radius of Denver may incur a surcharge.
A) App based timing.  We use a tablet and the Webscorer app to score the event - see a list of recent races and their results timed in this manner HERE.
We generally use app-based timing for events of up to 225 registrants.  With that model, all participants are timed off of the GUN time of the event and each individual finish time is captured at the finish line by our timer who uses an iPad app to record the finish time and bib number.  The app software scores the event and posts the results in real time.  We do not PRINT these results on race day; participants can view their times online through their smart phones immediately after they finish.  (www.Webscorer.com/3WRaces.)  This is works best for 225 and fewer registrants in a 5k distance due to the density of participants at the finish line.  
The cost is $595.00.  Generic bib numbers are included.  If you KNOW you're going to have more than 225 finishers (or above listed limits for 1 or 2 mile courses), we do not offer the app-based timing, but will use chip timing.  If you contract for app-based timing and your registration numbers go over the limit listed above on or before race day, your event will incur a mandatory upgrade to chip timing and the appropriate fees for chip timing will be charged at that time.
​ADDITIONAL TIME ON-SITE:  Timer arrives 90 min (app based) or 120 min (chip timing) before first gun time.  Should timer(s) be required onsite longer than 120 minutes past the FIRST SCHEDULED gun time, an additional hourly rate of $79/hour (per timing team) will be charged.
B) Chip based timing.  We use RFID timing system mats and readers and a PC based scoring tool ("The Race Director") to collect a start time and finish time.  In that instance, we can issue results based on a runner's net time rather than just the gun time, if you desire.  Disposable timing chips are affixed to the back of the race bib and do not need to be collected at the finish line.  No extra volunteers are required.  Races we time must use RunSignUp as the registration platform.
Results are posted online in real time and can be texted or emailed to your participants (free of charge.)  This is available for any number of participants, whether you have 50 finishers or 50,000.  Since results are available online in real time for all participants, paper print outs are not created at the event.  Performance based results (award standings) are calculated during the event and are posted online in real time.  Your emcee/event director will be able to read them from their smart phone for awards ceremony. 
The cost is $1375.00 which covers up to 400 registrants.  Some locations with multiple timing points or high-demand race dates may incur an additional fee.  An additional $2.55 per registrant is charged for each registrant over 400. Generic bib numbers are included.
​ADDITIONAL TIME ON-SITE:  Timer arrives 90 min (app based) or 120 min (chip timing) before first gun time.  Should timer(s) be required onsite longer than 120 minutes past the FIRST SCHEDULED gun time, an additional hourly rate of $79/hour (per timing team) will be charged in 30 minute increments.
ADDITIONAL SPLIT POINTS: Remote split points are $400 per location.

School Cross Country Events

CHIP TIMING has no limits on participation in each heat.

APP-BASED TIMING PARAMETERS:  If your event has multiple waves/heats wherein the athletes from one wave are FINISHED before the next wave begins, we can time multiple waves of students even if the TOTAL number exceeds 225 in a 5k. (110 max for 1 mile, 160 max for 2 mile)  Each heat must contain fewer than the limits listed above for 1, 2 or 3 mile courses.
